5.1 The President
The President of NEVZA is elected for one year by the General Assembly. The President must be President or vice president of a member of NEVZA.
All members can nominate candidates for the position, and the nomination has to be submitted to the Presidency at the latest 12 weeks before the General Assembly.
The President will be elected by the General Assembly by simple majority of the members. Are there more than two candidates, there will be a preliminary voting, and the two candidates with most votes will proceed to the final voting, unless the one candidate receives more than 50% of the votes.
5.2 The General Secretary
The General Secretary (GS) is elected by the General Assembly for a period of two years.
The General Secretary shall be full time employed person in the administration of a member Federation, and function as the daily (limited and shared) administrative support of NEVZA. The candidate should have adequate capabilities with the duties of GS and fluency in English. The member Federation of the GS shall be responsible for allowing the GS to operate sufficiently with respect to working time resources and administrative support allocated for him to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities as the GS of NEVZA.

If a GS ceases to work in the National Federation during an election period, the President will suggest a substitute until the next General Assembly in cooperation with the Work Team of General Secretaries. The decision will then be made and ratified by signing the minutes of this decision by all Presidents of member Federations.
5.3 The Presidency
The Presidency is the executive body in NEVZA, and consists of the President of NEVZA and the General Secretary. Its duty is to provide administrative support for the purposes of the Association and keep the members informed about international development of volleyball and beach volleyball.
The Presidency prepares and summons the General Assembly and is in charge of its proceedings and administrative management.
The Presidency prepares the budget and the activity plan of NEVZA, and submits them for approval to the General Assembly.
The Presidency shall meet whenever necessary and take care of any given matter subject to NEVZA.
In case of emergency, the Presidency may decide on matters from the authority of the General Assembly. The decisions are then to be presented and confirmed on the following General Assembly.
5.4 Work Teams
NEVZA has one permanent Work Team consisting of the General Secretaries from all the member Federations. The permanent Work Team meets at least once a year to follow up on the decisions from the General Assembly and prepare for the next General Assembly. The meeting is coordinated by the NEVZA GS.
NEVZA can appoint additional Work Teams, in charge of pursuing particular aims of NEVZA. These Work Teams and the members are to be decided by the General Assembly. The Presidency can appoint new Work Teams, but these shall then be approved on the next ordinary General Assembly.
