The NEVZA is a formalizing of the historic cooperation between the Nordic Countries, and the foundation is a step towards more intensive cooperation and development between the members. As one of the first steps, it was decided on the meeting to focus on developing intensive youth cooperation, and the goal is to establish a common program for all youth players in the member countries.
The president of the NEVZA, Seppo Sammelvuo was very satisfied with the new association and stated: “I see this foundation as the first step towards many new activities for the youth volleyball players in all member countries. The NEVZA will set focus on the cooperation, and I am sure, that everyone can learn many things and be inspired from the other members. I expect that the NEVZA in the future will develop exiting activities, which can set new standards for volleyballs possibilities towards players, media and sponsors”.
The NEVZA immediately applied for approval from the CEV and FIVB and the approval was given without any problems.
